Oxfam Goodies - 24th March

What a bit of luck! I only popped into Oxfam for a minute and I spotted a print by Kathleen Caddick of "Winter Walk". I recognised her style as I bought two prints of Venetian palazzi some time ago. I paid the asking price of £1.99 but its value is nearer £80. Keep looking, fellow bargain hunters!

This Monday's goodies included three M&S cashmere sweaters in lovely condition - £15 each.

Also I picked up a small tool box filled with Lego accessories. I am saving it for grandson Henry when he is just a bit older!

Sometimes the best surprises come in the tattiest bags - black bin bags and torn Tesco carriers. This week a bin bag revealed a number of Phase Eight party dresses in beautiful condition and three pairs of party heels in the original boxes and probably worn only once.

Another carrier bag contained a collection of French maternity tops and bottoms, all like new.

You just have to look regularly!

Apologies for not having updated my Goodies report recently - we had a new Tod's handbag in turquoise leather in last week, which I could not resist at a bargain price.

I admired a very snazzy pair of ankle boots in red and white leather with a 4 inch heel. They fitted my feet but I doubted I could walk in them, worse luck!

Yesterday we nearly drowned in black bags, most of which seemed to be a wardrobe clearance and not up to much.

This afternoon someone donated a tea and coffee service, very bright and silvery but rather OTT in my opinion. It was put on sale and laster less than 10 minutes. Today was a very profitable day.
